What Happens To My Credit Score When I Apply For About 5 Or 6 Credit Cards? Does It Affect My Ability To Get?

What happens to my credit score when I apply for a few credit cards and are not approved because they require brilliant credit? Does it affect my ability to get approval on another credit card? How long is this for?

Is A 627 Credit Score High Enough To Apply For A Secured Credit Card?

I would despise to apply for a credit card just to be turned down and have my score go lower for the application request ! I hope some one can help ?
