I have a credit score greater than 760 in the US. We are plotting to go to Canada. Do Canadian lenders have access to/consider US Credit Score when considering an application for credit?

My credit score is 628 (not too excellent I know). But, is my credit score excellent enough to be approved for a student loan? I do not have a cosigner so that’s not an option.

I hit a really tough time about 2 years ago, it started with the birth of my daughter and loosing my job afterwards. It seems like terrible luck has just been following me! Is there a best way to go about repairing credit? I heard consolidation was not excellent.
